Octal Buffer/Line Driver with 3-State Outputs
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The 74LVCN244 is an octal buffer/line driver with noninverting 3-state bus outputs and accepts a wide supply voltage range of 1.2V to 3.6V. The device is organized as two 4-bit line drivers with separate output enable inputs (1OE and 2OE). When nOE is held low, data transmits from the nAn inputs to the nYn outputs. When nOE is held high, the outputs are in high-impedance state.

The input from 3.3V or 5V device makes this device to operate as a translator in a mixed 3.3V and 5V system environment. And in 3-state operation, outputs can tolerate up to 5V.
